Our Family Hot Chocolate Stand

When the winter season is upon us it is the perfect time to get the hot chocolate supplies in. At this time of year we all like to be snuggled up cozy and warm. Making a hot chocolate the perfect accompaniment on a chilly night. So with this in mind i thought making a hot chocolate bar would add a bit of excitement into our hot chocolates. Here is how I made our home made hot chocolate bar.

Hot Chocolate Stand

Nyxi Slate Board stand i used for our Hot Chocolate Bar

I spent quite a while searching out different styles of hot chocolate bar stands. Eventually i found one that i personally though would be perfect for what i had in mind. I bought my stand from Amazon. It is actually a cake stand so will come in handy in the future too. The cake stand i bought was the Slate Cake Stand Serving Board. I paid £19.90. There was a large variety of cake stands and tiered trays that were available that would also be suitable for using.

Glass Jars

I bought my glass jars from Hobbycraft. The large clear round glass jars were £6.60 for 12. The small Hexagonal glass jars were £6.50 for 12. Places like Amazon and wilkos also have a selection of different sized glass jars and even Hobbycraft sell other size glass jars so there is plenty to chose from depending on what you want. Having plenty of jars gives you lots of flexibility for your hot chocolate stand.

Supplies i used

Time for the treats

What you decide to fill the jars with is your choice. This can be tailored to suit your needs and plans for your hot chocolate bar. It can be made as cheap or as expensive as you wish to make it. Some people may buy liqueurs to go in their hot chocolates or flavoured syrups, its all down to personal preference. The choices really are endless. I made my hot Chocolate bar with the kids in mind as they love hot chocolates on cold days.

Galaxy buttons ready to go in the glass jar

I bought nearly all my chocolates and sweets from Home Bargains. The Christmas sprinkles were from Hobbycraft. I filled my jars with:

Hot chocolate powder

Maltesers

Magic Stars

Mini Marshmallows

Areo dreamy snow bubbles

Large Chocolate buttons

Galaxy chocolate buttons

Jazzles

Candy Canes

Christmas paper straws

Squirty Cream

Christmas tree and candy cane sprinkles.

Time to try it out!

Now you are all set up and ready to go it would be rude not to make a hot chocolate and try it out.

I really hope you found inspiration in how i made my hot chocolate bar. Give it a go and make yourself a cozy hot chocolate bar to enjoy during the winter season and beyond.
