Opening Times
The IceCaps at the Dome are open daily. During the week you can book skating session at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm, whilst at the weekend you can book skating sessions at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. IceCaps at the Dome, Doncaster is the only split level skating rink in the uk. So even more reason to book a session and see if you are brave enough to master the slopes.

Parking
There is ample free parking in the car park at the side of the Dome. The parking is literally a couple of minutes walk away from the Dome.

If you do not wish to skate, you can be a spectator and watch from the side lines. Vending machines are available along with a cafe that provides hot drinks.

Spectator tickets are £3.00 per person.
If you have a younger child skating with you, you are able to hire a skating aid. For children under 1.2m they will require a penguin. For children over 1.2m they will require a snowman. Be sure to book these when you buy your tickets.

How long do the sessions last?
Each skating session lasts 90 minutes. At any point you are able to leave the ice by the exit point. There is a separate entry and exit point onto and of the ice. These areas get quite busy so definitely a good job they are separate.
Do I need my own skates?

Included in the ticket price is your skate hire. Hand over your shoes to the attendants and they will loan you the skates. If you are a regular at skating you are also able to take your own skates.

There is ample seating available for you whilst you pop your skates on along with plenty of lockers to keep all your belongings in. You will require a £1 coin for the lockers.

Booking Your Sessions
Booking your skating session is really easy and can all be done on line.
Just click on the Book Ice Skating button. This will then allow you to book tickets and the quantities you require.

Next you will need to select a date and time that you wish to skate.

Finally you have the opportunity to book your extras, socks, skating aids and spectators.

You will then see a booking summary. If all the details are correct click on book now. You also have the opportunity to amend your booking at this point.

You will then be taken to the basket where you can check out and pay for your booking.

Soon after booking you will receive a confirmation email with all your booking details. No need to print them out, just show the email upon entry on your phone and the member of staff will scan the QR code.
You will also be required to complete a waiver for all persons skating. It is advisable to complete these on line prior to your booking. An email will be sent with a link that will allow you to complete the wavers.
Toilets

The IceCap toilets are also located within the skating area. There are plenty of toilets and hand washing facilities available. We have always found the toilets to be clean.

Staff
There are several staff members available at all times during the skating sessions.
There is a member of staff present on the ice and ready to help for the duration of the session. So if you fall over don’t panic as they will soon be over to help you up. They are also ridiculously good at skating.
Further staff members operate the cafe to provide refreshments during the sessions.
You will also find a staff member manning the skates so should you decide you are all skated out you are able to hand back your skates and collect your shoes. During the start and end of the skating sessions multiple members of staff are on hand to swap your shoes for skates or skates for shoes.
We love ice skating and love visiting the IceCaps at the Dome. Its always clean and well maintained. the staff are really helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
