Upon opening the box we were super excited to get it assembled as it looked loads of fun. The boys used to watch Robot Wars on tv so they could relate to the robots. The arena set comes with 2 robots but more can be purchased separately. The arena allows upto 4 players at any one time.

Assembling the Arena

Once we had got all the pieces out it was time to start assembling the arena. It was really quick and easy to assemble. The boys needed minimal adult help, it was that simple. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow with detailed diagrams. We assembled the corner parts first followed by the side parts. Next we added the clear walls that slotted inside the corner pieces. The final step of getting up the arena was to add the Dial of Doom sticker to any one of the sides.

Building the robots

Assembling the robots was really easy too. Each robot comes with changeable pieces so you can swap them over for different battles. Impulse – the yellow robot comes with a pitchfork, wedge and spikes that you can chose for your battles. Royal Pain – the red one comes with a wedge, battering ram and shovel. Both robots and controllers came with batteries already fitted.

Activate the remotes

To activate the remotes you had to turn on the robots one at a time and then press the small hex on the bottom of the robot to activate and pair the robot with the remote. Each robot also needed to be on different channel.

Ready for battle

Once the boys had built a robot of their choice they were ready to battle. They loved battling and had the best time ever competing against each other. They all gave the Robot Wars Arena a 10/10. This is a toy we would definitely recommend buying. It says for players 8+ . Max loved playing and had no problems operating the controls and he is almost 6yrs old.
